Riya Janakiraman has been learning Bharatanatyam since the age of six under the tutalage of Smt. Malini Krishnamurthy in Los Angeles, California. After she moved to Atlanta at the age of 12, she continued her training with Smt. Savitha Viswanathan. She is ever grateful to have her as a teacher, not only for guiding her deep love for it, but also for imparting numerous valuable life lessons along the way. As a part of Nritya Sankalpa, Riya has performed in the annual ARPAN fundraiser, Papanasam Sivan competitions, AFA events, and several local temples and community events. Riya has been blessed to have attended workshops by Smt. Nirmala Nagarajan and Sri. Shyamjith Kiran.
Alongside Bharatanatyam, she also lears Carnatic vocal from Sri. Prasanna Soundararajan and piano for 12 years with Mrs. Joanne Vorkink. Riya is very passionate about medicine and will be joining the 7-year BS/MD program with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Albany Medical College this fall.

Shalini Rajan began learning Bharatanatyam at the age of four under the guidance of Smt. Liza Joeph in Connecticut. She competed in the 2014 Saraswathi Awards in Queens, New York, receiving first place. In 2015, she won second place in the VHI Holi Competition in Connecticut. Following her move to Atlanta, Georgia, she continued her foundational training with Smt. Subathara Sudarshan. During middle school, she started under the tutalage of Smt. Savitha Viswanathan who taught Shalini what dance really means and how this beautiful art form is more than just movements. Thorugh Nritya Sankalpa Dance Academy, Shalini has performed in the annual ARPAN fundraiser, CoHNA reception, various temples , and participated in Kalakshetra workshops.
In addition to dance, Shalini has been learning violin for 7 years and played competitive volleyball for 4 years. She has also learned Tamil for 7 years at Heritage Tamil Academy, and is proficient in reading and writing. Shalini is a rising freshman majoring in Biology with a concentration in Neuroscience, on the pre-med track, at the University of Georgia.

Through Nritya Sankalpa Dance Academy, she has performed at various events, including ARPAN, GATS, The Illuminate Festival, and Clayton County's Annual Multiultural Concert.
Apart from dance, Linda graduated with the Highest Honors from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish this past May.

Hamsini Jawahar began learning Bharatanatyam at the age of 5 under the guidance of her Guru Smt. Savitha Viswanathan. Through Nritya Sankapla Dance Academy, she has performed at various events, including ARPAN, Colors of India festival, and at the Hindu Temple. She has also participated in dances through WonderTimes, GATS, and ATM.
Apart from dance, she is involved in school clubs including HOSA and BETA devoting time to preparing for events in the healthcare realm and volunteering. Hamsini graduated from Chattahoochee High School and will be attending Augusta University this fall.

Maitri Sridhar has been learning Bharatanatyam for 14 years and considers it integral to her life. She is incredibly grateful for her Guru Smt. Savitha Viswanathan's unconditional love, guidance, and dedication. Through Nritya Sankalpa Dance Academy, Maitri has perfromed in the annual ARPAN fundraiser, CoHNA reception, AAPI events, dance, competitions, and participated in Kalakshetra workshops. She is also thankful to her former Guru Smt. Preethi Vinayak for lovingly sowing the seed and early foundation.
In addition to her passion for dance, Maitri also learns Carnatic music from Smt. Lakshmi Prabhakar and studied Western Classical piano with Ms. Judy Blase. A graduate of Chinmaya Mission's BalaVihar from the Hindu Temple of Atlanta, Maitri cherishes frowing up in this close-knit Indian-American community with strong ties to her cultural and spiritual roots. In the fall, Maitri will attend the Georgia Institute of Technology to major in Business Administration and minor in German. Sowmya Krithivasan began learning Bharatanatyam at the age of four under the guidance of Smt. Bhavini Rajan and continued her dance journey with Smt. Savitha Viswanathan from the age of seven. As a student of Nritya Sankalpa Dance Academy, she had the privelege of performing at various community events, including Arpan, the Illuminate Festival, GATS, CoHNA, and at various temples. Additionally, Sowmya has been blessed to have attended a workshop by Smt. Nirmala Nagarajan, a distinguished graduate of the Kalakshetra Foundation. Along with dance, Sowmya has been learning Carnatic music for 14 years under the tutelage of Smt. Subhashini Krishnamurthy and Carnatic violin from Sri. Lakshminarayanan. She has also attended Tamil class for 15 years and is proficient in reading and writing her mother tongue. Sowmya is a rising sophomore majoring in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology, and is a board member of Aarohi, GT’s society for the Indian classical arts. |

Amiti Arunmozhi began learning Bharatanatyam at the age of nine under the guidance of Smt. Subathra Sudarshan and continued her training with Smt. Gayatri Seshadri. Before highschool, she found her guru Smt. Savitha Viswanathan. Through Nritya Sankalpa Dance Academy, she has performed at various community events including Arpan, India Fest, other local events, and has participated in several segments of the online Margam Lecture Series presented by Nritya Sankalpa. In addition to her passion for dance, Amiti also learned Carnatic music for 10 years from Smt. Kala Vasu and learned piano for 13 years. Her passion for the arts has carried over to visual mediums like drawing, sketching, painting, and graphic design, and she attended the Governor’s Honors Program for Visual Arts. Her creativity since childhood has inspired her to pursue higher studies in a creative field. She is currently attending the Georgia Institute of Technology for a Bachelors degree in Industrial Design. She is involved community design projects as a staff member of Design Bloc, and she is a member of the ID Student Association at Tech as well. |

Pallavi Eranezhath began learning Bharatanatyam at the age of five under the tutelage of her Guru Smt. Savitha Viswanathan. Through Nritya Sankalpa Dance Academy, she has performed at various community events, including ARPAN, GATS, GAMA, The Illuminate Festival, and other cultural organizations. Pallavi has been blessed to have attended workshops by distinguished graduates of Kalakshetra Foundation, such as Sri. Sheejith Krishna, Smt. Anjana Rajan, and Professor C. V. Chandrasekar. Through these opportunities, and with the inspiration of her Guru, Pallavi has developed a deep passion for Bharatanatyam. Along with Bharatanatyam, Pallavi is a recent graduate from Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and is currently pursuing her Masters in Analytics at Georgia Institute of Technology. During her undergrad, she has served as a mentor to younger IE students. Pallavi's passion for dance has continued as she is a dancer and captain of GT Pulse, an Indian classical dance team that competes nationally. |

Srinidhi Thangaraj began learning Bharatanatyam at the age of six under Smt. Savitha Viswanathan. Through Nritya Sankalpa Dance Academy, she has performed at various community events, including Arpan, Clayton County's Annual Multicultural Concert, Sri Shiva Durga Temple's Shivaratri, Johns Creek Diwali Festival, and participated in various parts of the online Margam Lecture Series presented by Nritya Sankalpa. Apart from Bharatanatyam, she has learned various folk dances such as Ghoomar and Supada etc. from her guru. Through these opportunities and with the inspiration of her Guru, Srinidhi has developed a deep passion for Bharatanatyam. In addition to dance, Srinidhi has been learning Carnatic Music for the past 14 years and is currently learning from Smt. Deepa Ganesh. Srinidhi received fourth place at state level for performing arts in Bharatanatyam. She can fluently read and write in Tamil as she attended Lilburn Tamil School for many years and graduated with a Tamil diploma. Srinidhi is currently a third-year Psychology student at Georgia State University. |

Keya Parikh began learning Bharatanatyam at the age of seven in Cleveland under Smt. Padma Rajagopalan. After moving to Atlanta, she continued her training under Smt. Savitha Viswanathan. Through Nritya Sankalpa Dance Academy, she has performed at various community events, including Arpan, Festival of India, SEWA International’s Banquet, Clayton County’s Annual Multicultural Concert, and the Hindu Temple of Atlanta. Keya has been blessed to have attended workshops by Sri. Sheejith Krishna, Smt. Anjana Rajan, and Smt. Nirmala Nagarajan. Alongwith Bharatanatyam, Keya is currently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering from The Georgia Institute of Technology. At Tech, she has worked on numerous community service analytics projects and served as a mentor to younger students. Keya’s passion for dance has continued as she is a dancer and the manager of GT Pulse, an Indian classical dance team that competes around the country. |

Navina Doss began learning Bharatanatyam at the age of five under the guidance of Smt. Bhavani Rajan and continued her early training under Smt. Preetha Sayeekrishna. During middle school, she found her guru, Smt. Savitha Viswanathan, who fueled her passion for dance. Through Nritya Sankalpa Dance Academy, she has performed at various community events, including Arpan, Clayton County's Annual Multicultural Concert, the Illuminate Festival, and India Fest, and has participated in several segments of the online Margam Lecture Series presented by Nritya Sankalpa. Alongwith Dance, Navina has been learning Carnatic music for 12 years under the tutelage of Smt. Gayatri Vasant. Navina is a risking sophmore majoring in Global Health and Public Policy at Duke University. She works as a research assistant at the El Mallah Lab measuring respiratory function in patients with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and presides over her dorm's house council. As an active leader in her community, Navina founded the first Georgia youth chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union and organized a Walk & Roll where she raised over $2,000 for research on Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy Navina continues her dance journey as co-captain of Lasya, Duke's classical dance team, and as a performer on Rhydhun, Duke's competitive Bollyood dace team. |

Chalcy Raja learnt Bharathnatyam for 3 years when she was 12 years old from Thirumathy Annapoorani in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. After many years, she started learning again from Smt. Savitha Viswanathan at Nritya Sankalpa since 2016. She did her Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) and Master of Engineering (Distinction) from Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE), Madurai Kamaraj University. She came to the United States in 1992 to pursue Doctor of Engineering at Louisiana Tech University. She moved to Atlanta in 1995 and had been working in various positions and different companies in IT. She is now taking a break from her successful IT career and working on the “Kanavu Meipada” organization. She loves volunteering, cooking, travelling, and gardening as well as spending time with friends and family. She lives in Johns Creek, GA with her husband Theinraja and her two children Pradeep and Anisha. Chalcy is dedicating her arangetram to her beloved father and mentor, Late Er. M. Mal Duraipandian and her respectful Late Prof. Er. Peer Mohamed. |

Shobini Palaniappan began learning Bharatanatyam at the age of six under the the guidance of Smt. Shyamala Narayanan at The Temple of Fine Arts in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, a sanctuary for the arts founded by His Holiness Swami Shantanand Saraswati. Following her move to the US, she continued her dance training under Smt. Uma Palam Pulendran, before meeting her guru, Smt. Savitha Viswanathan. As a student of Nritya Sankalpa Dance Academy, she has had the privilege of performing at various community events and competitions such as ARPAN, Madhuragitam, Greater Atlanta Tamil Sangamm, Annamacharya Day, the Illuminate Festival, and the Tamil Nadu Foundation Convention. Additionaly, Shobini has been blessed to have attended a workshop by Smt. Jyolsana Menon, a distinguished graduate of the Kalakshetra Foundation. Alongside dance, Shobini has classically trained in Carantic music for ten years under the tutelage of Smt. Gayatri Vasant, who Shobini is honored to have as the vocal artist for the arangetram today. Shobini has always embraced a soulful connection of her culture through dance and music. Shobini has also been a student of Chinmaya Mission Balavihar for ten years. In addition to that, she has a love for horses as a competitive equestrian rider, a sport she avidly enjoys. In the fall, Shobini will pursue her passion for science and medicine as a neuroscience major at the Georgia Institute of Technology. |
Manasvini Palaparti

Manasvini Palaparti began learning Bharatanatyam at the age of four and a half with Smt. Savitha Viswanathan. Through Nritya Sankalpa Dance Academy, Manasvini has been able to learn different pieces in a Margam namely Alarippu, Jatiswaram, Shabdam, Varnam, Padam, Tillana, and Shloka over the past several years under her Guru's Guidance. Manasvini has performed at multiple community events such as Arpan, Hindu Temple of Atlanta, India Fest, and variousparts of the online Margam Lecture series presented by Nritya Sankalpa. In addition to dance, throughout her four years in high school, Manasvini has also been involved in numerous volunteer work in school and outside of school. She has been a part of many voluntary organizations that work with hospitals and business charities throughout high school. Some of these business charities include Hospice Memory Center training and care, Northside Explorers, Clinical Internship at Northside Hospital, and Healthcare Study abroad in London. Manasvini is currently enrolled in UAB (University of Alabama, Birmingham) where she is pursuing a degree in Healthcare. In her second year at UAB, she will be joining a new club called Life in a Voice, which is an organization to help underprivileged young girls in India. Manasvini continues to help people and thia quality shines through her dance and her social work. |

Tessa John began learning Bharatanatyam at the age of five under Smt. Savitha Viswanathan. Through Nritya Sankalpa Dance Academy, she has performed at various community events, including Arpan, India Fest, Clayton County's Annual Multicultural Concert, Shri Krishna Vrundavana Atlanta, and participated in various parts of the online Margam Lecture Series presented by Nritya Sankalpa. Alongside dance, Tessa has been a leader in multiple school organizations. She served as the UNICEF president at her school, a member of the North Gwinnett Student Leadership Team, an officer for the National Honor Society, and the secretary for the Asian American Student Association at her school. She also has been a part of the dance program at her school for all four years of high school and has learned various styles including Ballet, Jazz, Modern, and Contemporary. This year Tessa will be attending Georgia State University with a major in Nursing. |
Esha Saini

Esha Saini began learning Bharatanatyam at the age of 4 under the guidance of Smt. Savitha Viswanathan. As a part of Nritya Sankalpa Dance Academy, she has performed at numerous events and charity-based functions including Arpan, GAMA, Greater Atlanta Tamil Sangam (GATS), Isha Foundation's Adiyogi Fundraiser, Clayton County's Annual Multicultural Concert, and Global Winter Wonderland. Esha has also had the privilege of attending lecture demonstrations and workshops by other distinguished graduates of Kalakshetra. Through these opportunities and with the inspiration of her Guru, Smt. Savitha Viswanathan, Esha has developed a deep love for the art of Bharatanatyam. In addition to her passion for the art form, Esha is currently pursuing her degree in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology. During her time at Georgia Tech thus far, Esha has been very active in leadership organizations such as SGA (Student Government Association) and computing research projects centered around artificial intelligence and digital design. Aside from educational pursuits, Esha's passion for dance exceeds beyond the art form of Bharatanatyam as she is currently a member of ATL Tanishq, an all-female fusion dance team that competes all around the United States. |

Riya Ramaswamy began learning Bharatanatyam at the age of six under the guidance of Smt. Padmaja Kelam, then continued her training under Smt. Savitha Viswanathan. Through Nritya Sankalpa Dance Academy, Riya has performed at various events and taught younger students. From a young age, Riya was always fascinated with dance. She took ballet and jazz dance lessons. Alongside dance, Riya is a budding actress. She has performed all around Atlanta in various shows and works with talent agencies to audition for shows and commercials. She also attended several workshops in Los Angeles and Atlanta and had many of her screenplays and short films produced. She was on the varsity cheerleading team at Johns Creek High School. She also loves to volunteer at different charities including Fur Kids Animal Shelter and Five Loaves Atlanta. |

Manasi Oleti began learning Bharatanatyam at the age of seven in Illinois under Smt. Sushmita Arunkumar. Following her move to Atlanta, she continued her dance training under Smt. Padmaja Kelam, then Smt. Savitha Viswanathan. Through Nritya Sankalpa Dance Academy, she has performed at various community events, including Arpan, the Illuminate Festival, CMA Swaranjali, Sewa International's banquet, the TNF conference, and the International Cultural Celebration. Manasi has also attended a workshop by Smt. Anjana Rajan, a distinguished graduate of Kalakshetra Foundation. Alongside dance, Manasi has been a leader in multiple school organizations. She served as her FBLA chapter’s vice president of community service, her HOSA chapter’s secretary, and her MD Junior chapter’s treasurer. Manasi has been training in Carnatic music for the past ten years. She has attended Chinmaya Mission for thirteen years and has also been a part of the Junior Chinmaya Yuva Kendra program throughout high school. This year, Manasi will begin attending the Georgia Institute of Technology with a major in Neuroscience. |

Neha Rao began her Bharatanatyam training at age four under the guidance of Smt. Bhavini Subramani. She continued her training in Bangalore with gurus Sridhar and Anuradha Sridhar, and for the last four years under the guidance of Smt. Savitha Viswanathan at Nritya Sankalpa Dance Academy. She has performed at multiple events for various organizations, such as GATS, GAMA, ARPAN, The Illuminate Festival, Sri Ahobila Mutt, and other local cultural organizations. Apart from her involvement and dedication to Bharatanatyam, Neha has served as the co-founder of Manraa Inc. as well as intern at NASA, Cloudnine Hospital and MySupplier. Additionally, she has been involved in providing aid to children in Karnataka. Neha is pursing computer science at Georgia Institute of Technology. |
Aarushi Vadhula

Aarushi Vadhula began learning Bharatanatyam at the age of six under the guidance of Smt. Anitha Thyagarajan in Minnesota. After moving to Atlanta in 2014, Aarushi continued learning Bharatanatyam under Smt. Savitha Viswanathan. As a part of Nritya Sankalpa Dance Academy, she has performed at numerous events including ARPAN, the Illuminate Festival, Sewa International's Banquet, Festival of India, Yugal Kunj's Opening Program, and place 2nd in the annual Papanasam Sivan Compositions Dance Competition. Aarushi has also attended workshops by distinguished graduates of Kalakshetra Foundation, such as Sri Sheejith Krishna and Smt. Anjana Rajan. In addition to dance, Aarushi has been an active leader in her school and community, serving as National Ambassador for her school’s MD Junior Chapter and Co-President of Chinmaya Mission’s youth group, Junior Chinmaya Yuva Kendra (JCHYK). Aarushi has also greatly enjoyed participating in choir, both in and out of school, for 8 years and has attended several honor choruses including All State Chorus throughout high school. Aarushi has attended Tamil class for 8 years and is proficient in reading and writing her mother tongue. She also volunteered at Public Libraries where she assisted with kids activities and community events. Aarushi is studying Biochemistry at the Georgia Institute of Technology. |

Tanvi Raj began her Bharatanatyam training at the age of 5 under the guidance of Smt. Subathra Sudarshan. She continued her training with Smt. Dilani Satees, and for the last six plus years under the guidance of Smt. Savitha Viswanathan at Nritya Sankalpa Dance Academy. Besides learning dance, Tanvi has also been learning Carnatic classical music since the age of five first from Smt Padma Rajaraman and later from Smt Kala Vasudevan. She has performed at multiple events for various organizations such as GATS, Wonder Times, ARPAN, TAMA and local cultural organizations. Apart from her involvement and dedication to Bharatanatyam, Tanvi has served as a leader at her school’s FBLA chapter, as an ambassador of the 21st Century Leader program, and has been an active student and volunteer for Chinmaya Mission. She has been actively involved in Chinmaya Mission’s youth group, Junior Chinmaya Yuvakendra (JCHYK). The youth group focuses on integrating Hindu values into the community through walkathons and other service events in order to raise money for CORD ( Chinmaya Organization for Rural Development), which helps underprivileged villages in India. Tanvi would be very grateful if you choose to make donations to this organization. This fall, Tanvi will be studying biological science at the University of Georgia. |
Preethi Narayan

Preethi Narayan began learning Bharatanatyam at the age of five under the guidance of Smt. Savitha Viswanathan. As a part of Nritya Sankalpa Dance Academy, she has performed at numerous events and charity-based functions including ARPAN, GAMA, Greater Atlanta Tamil Sangam, Isha Foundation's Adiyogi Fundraiser, Clayton County's Annual Multicultural Concert, and Global Winter Wonderland. Preethi has also attended workshops and lecture demonstrations by distinguished graduates of Kalakshetra Foundation, including Sri. Sheejith Krishna and Sri. C. V. Chandrashekhar. Through these oportunities and with the inspiration of her guru Smt. Savitha Viswanathan, Preethi has developed a deep passion for the art of Bharatanatyam. In addition to dance, Preethi has pursued piano since the age of eight under the training of Dr. Tong Soon Lee, former music professor at Emory University, and has completed six levels of Music Theory and Practical Piano exams under the ABRSM Syllabus for Music. Preethi has also attended Tamil class for ten years and can fluently read and write in Tamil. Following the completion of Tamil class, she has volunteered at Alpharetta Tamil School by teaching younger students. |

Sindhu has also attended workshops by distinguished graduates of Kalakshetra Foundation, such as Smt. Leela Samson, Sri Sheejith Krishna, and Smt. Anjana Rajan, as well as a lecture demonstration by Sri C.V. Chandrashekhar. |
Divya Umapathy

Divya began learning Bharatanatyam at the age of five under the guidance of Smt. Savitha Viswanathan. As a part of Nritya Sankalpa, she has performed at numerous events and charity-based functions including ARPAN, CAMAGA, GAMA, GATS, Isha Foundation's ADIYOGI Fundraiser, Clayton County's Annual Multicultural Concert, Global Winter Wonderland, and the Sivarathri Celebrations at Hindu Temple of Atlanta. Divya has competed in national level competitions for Bharatanatyam at Cleveland Thyagaraja Festival and Saptami. She placed 1st at the state-level and 3rd at the national-level Saptami competition. She has taught many beginner level classes and is passionate about improving constantly in dance and life. Divya has also attended workshops and lecture demonstrations by distinguished graduates of Kalakshetra Foundation, including Sri. Sheejith Krishna, Smt. Leela Samson, and Sri. C. V. Chandrashekhar. Divya is also a member of GT Pulse, an Indian classical dance team at Georgia Tech, and competes at a national level with her team against other Indian classical collegiate dance teams. |
Deepika Thangaraj

Deepika began learning Bharatanatyam at the age of five under the guidance of her Guru Smt. Savitha Viswanathan at Nritya Sankalpa Dance Academy. Deepika has performed at various programs including ARPAN: an offering, GATS, GAMA, Sankara Nethralaya OM Trust, Madhuragitam, Organization of Asian Indians at AT&T, Thyagaraja Aradhana, Tamil Nadu Foundation’s (TNF) Annual Convention and many more. She has volunteered for many years at Nritya Sankalpa to teach beginner level students. Her passion and interest for dance led herself to undergo the vigorous training required for a Bharatanatyam Arangentram in 2015. Over these years, her training in dance helped her learn the Indian culture and traditions as well as instilled in her the sense of commitment, hard work and dedication required to succeed in life. Deepika has also attended workshops by distinguished graduates of Kalakshetra Foundation from Sri Sheejith Krishna, Smt. Leela Samson and Sri. Mohanan. In addition to dance, Deepika has been learning Veena for many years. In 2019, Deepika graduated from Georgia State University, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Currently, she is an Internal Auditor at Truist, and is simultaneously working toward her Master’s degree in Professional Accountancy from Georgia State University. |

Rohitha Baskar

Rohitha began learning dance from the age of seven in the year 2004 with Mrs. Savitha Viswanathan at Nritya Sankalpa. She has performed at multiple events including GAMA, Arpan in the years 2007, 2011 and 2017, Clayton County Multicultural Event, Nritya Kadambam in aid of Shankara Nethralaya, and plenty others at numerous Indian programs. Since she began her training, she has shown an endlessly growing passion for the art of Bharatanatyam. |
Poorna Rajeevan

Poorna began learning Bharatanatyam at the age of three under the guidance of Smt. Padmini Ramachandran and continued learning dance under Smt. Chandrika Kurup in New York. After moving to Atlanta in 2000, she continued training with Smt. Savitha Vishwanathan. Poorna has performed for various organizations and charity based functions such as ARPAN, GAMA, GATS, IACA, Sivoham-Sivoham, and many more. She won the title of first runner up for IACA Miss Teen India GA 2009 and Best Talent for her dance and singing performance. Poorna also trained in Vocal Carnatic music since the age of three under the guidance of Bombay sister, Smt. Saavitri Ramanand and continued later under the guidance of Padma Rajaraman in Atlanta. Upon her entrance into the Georgia Institute of Technology, Poorna joined PULSE, a nationally competing co-ed classical dance team. On Pulse, she held captaincy for two years and actively helped choreograph many classical fusion pieces. The dance team went on to win many national dance competitions and hosted Laasya, a traveling national competition for classical Indian dance teams, where they instigated a fundraiser for Wellspring Living, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping sexual/domestic abuse victims in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2015, Poorna performed her Arangetram where she raised over $4,000 towards Prajwala, an anti-trafficking organization based in India. Poorna is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Biology and certificate in biomedical sciences. Poorna was also the recipient of the Indian American Scholarship Fund of IACA and HOPE scholarship for academics. She is currently completing medical school with interests in internal medicine and pediatrics. She is a member of the Yatra Dance Troupe based in Atlanta, Georgia. |

After moving to Atlanta in 2008, she continued her training with Smt. Savitha Viswanatham, the Founder and Director of Nritya Sankalpa. Namita has performed at various programs such as GAMA, Arpan: An Offering, ISHA, and the Fulton County Arts Council. She also volunteered at Nritya Sankalpa by teaching beginner students. |

Hersha began learning Bharatanatyam under the tutelage of Smt. Savitha Viswanathan from the age of four. She has performed in various dance programs for Greater Atlanta Tamil Sangam, ISHA Foundation, ISKON Temple, old age homes, and Arpan: An Offering in 2006, 2007, and 2011. Hersha has also volunteered by teaching some of the younger students of Nritya Sankalpa. A graduate of University of Georgia, Hersha is currently working as a research scholar at the Medical College of Georgia. |

She has performed at many programs for Greater Atlanta Tamil Sangam, Greater Atlanta Malayalee Association, ISHA Foundation, at her school, and in Nritya Sankalpa productions such as "Bard of the Lost Spirit" in 2006 and "ARPAN: An Offering" in 2011. Veena has also volunteered at Nritya Sankalpa by teaching beginner and intermediate level students. |
Joshika Money

Joshika began learning Bharatanatyam at age eight under Smt. Roopa Shyamasundara in Rochester Hills, Michigan. After moving to Atlanta in 2008, she continued her training with Smt. Savitha Viswanathan. Joshika performed in many dance programs such as TANA Detroit, school performances, and the Fulton County Arts Council, and volunteered at Nritya Sankalpa by teaching beginner and intermediate level students. She was named the 2012 YoungArts Merit Award winner for dance by the National Foudation for Advancement in the Arts (NFAA). Joshika is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where she earned bachelors and masters degrees in Public Health. She is currently a medical student at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. In the future, she plans to go into primary care to address root causes of chronic health issues through plant-based nutrition, food justice, advocacy, and policy work. |

Madhu began learning Bharatanatyam at the age of four. She first began her dancing journey at Kruti Dance Academy with Smt. Dina Sheth and later continued her studies at Nritya Sankalpa with Smt. Savitha Viswanathan. Over the years, Madhu has performed at a wide range of cultural programs, including Greater Atlanta Tamil Sangam, Fulton County Arts Council, Nritya Sankalpa productions “Arpan: An Offering” and “Bard of the Lost Spirit”, and many others. She completed her Arangetram in 2011, just before moving to Nashville, TN for her undergraduate education at Vanderbilt University. There, she took Bharatanatyam classes with Smt. Monica Cooley (disciple of Sri M. V. Narasimhachari and Smt. M. Vasanthalakshmi), as well as with Smt. Sahana Balasubramanya (disciple of Smt. Saroja Vaidyanathan). In 2015, Madhu joined the Teach For America corps in Tulsa, OK, where she further grew to love working with younger students. She continued to dance and perform other Indian and Western genres with Kripalaya Dance Academy directed by Smt. Priya Raju. She has also collaborated on projects with the Atlanta-based Yatra Dance Troupe. Currently, Madhu is a PhD student in Child Study and Human Development at Tufts University. Her research is focused on family and teacher engagement in innovative technologies that promote young children’s learning and development. |
