ARPAN

ARPAN, an offering, is a student initiative at Nritya Sankalpa through which the students perceive, prepare & present an entire performance to aid a few charities both locally & internationally.  Our first ARPAN was held on April 8, 2006 and was the brainchild of our student, Kanya Manoj. Since then, Nritya Sankalpa has raised funds through this student initiative in subsequent years to be benefit non-profit organizations located in United States & around the world. Students develop organizational and leadership skills through ARPAN and also learn the value of volunteering their time towards important causes.

ARPAN 2025

Nritya Sankalpa Dance Academy is excited to invite you to be a part of ARPAN 2025, a unique student-led initiative at our academy. ARPAN, is more than just a performance—it is an offering, where our students take full ownership of perceiving, preparing, and presenting a dance production to raise funds for meaningful causes both locally and internationally.
This year, our students will bring to life an adaptation of Shiva’s Fire by Susan Fisher Staples—a powerful story of a dancer’s journey, highlighting themes of sacrifice, empowerment, and the pursuit of Natyam (dance).
Through ARPAN 2025, our students aim to make a difference by raising funds for three incredible charities dedicated to supporting women and young girls:
SAHARA Foundation - A nonprofit organization to support the victims of domestic violence and elder abuse to meet the needs of the underserved South Asian community in Southern California.
Every 28 Days - A nonprofit organization dedicated to combating period poverty. Their mission is to provide menstrual products to underprivileged women and girls while raising awareness about the importance of menstrual health and hygiene.
Chinmaya Vijaya - An apolitical, non-governmental, all-girls Orphanage whose main objective is to adopt girl orphans, give them a home and a stable living environment, and create strong and dependable relationships among them so that they live in a safe, home-like atmosphere.

We truly believe that, together, we can create a lasting impact. We thank you in advance for your time and generosity.
Don’t miss this opportunity to support the arts and a great cause! We hope to see you at ARPAN 2025.
